Privacy

Version:

This policy explains how jobfindr handles your personal data. Contact [email protected] about privacy or your rights.

Data we collect

We collect your name, email address, password hash, language, time zone, session and verification records, consent history, uploaded CVs, extracted CV text, career profile and job preferences. We also keep limited technical and security records needed to operate and protect the service.

Why we use it

We use account and session data to provide secure access, CV and profile data to help you prepare your career information, and preferences to prepare future job recommendations. We use your email for verification, password recovery and account security. Processing necessary to provide the service is based on our contract with you; security and abuse prevention rely on legitimate interests. AI processing requires your separate consent. You may use the manual profile without granting it.

AI processing and email

With your permission, your CV and profile are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to extract career information. They are not used for model training. AI output can be wrong: review and edit it before using it. Resend processes your email address and email content to deliver transactional messages. These providers receive only the information needed for their service. Our application data stays on our server in the European Union; the disclosed API and email processing involves those providers.

Storage, retention and deletion

We store your data on our server in the European Union and encrypt stored CV files. Replaced CVs are deleted after 30 days. We retain your active account information while you use the service. Deleting your account deletes all associated account data, profiles, preferences and CV files. We do not sell your personal data.

Your choices and GDPR rights

Settings lets you withdraw AI consent, download an export containing your data and original CVs, and permanently delete your account. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Under the GDPR you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability, and object where processing relies on legitimate interests. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Cookies and policy updates

We use a necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. This version of the service does not use advertising cookies. We publish material policy changes here and request renewed consent where required.
